Technical Notes and Gauge:
Crochet in continuous spiral rounds, unless specified otherwise. Use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to keep track of the last stitch in each round.
When filling with polyester stuffing, pull apart each large chunk into many smaller chunks. This ensures an even distribution of firmness within the amigurumi.
I am using ILoveThisYarn, but you can use any worsted, medium weight yarn.

Cut yarn, tie the ends, and weave them into the sts. Cut another piece of yarn and tie it around the center of the bowtie to cinch it up.
Assembly
Sew the nose to the face, in between the eyes.
Sew the ears on the head.
Sew the arms on the sides of the body.
Sew the legs on the lower part of the body.
Tie the tail to the lower back of the body.
Sew the monocle’s chain to the side of the head. Sew the frame on, attaching one side to the right of the eye on the face and the other side onto the nose. Do not sew around the entire monocle or it will stick to the face and look strange.
Sew the top hat onto the top of the head, in between the ears.
Using the yarn tied onto the bowtie to cinch it up, attach the bowtie to the neck. Lay the book in the bear’s lap.
