My name is Abigail and I’ve been crocheting for quite some time now. I love making stuffed animals, especially for my friends! It all started when the world shut down in 2020 and boredom struck. I picked up my crochet to keep me busy. That turned into projects strewn across my house with little to no idea what to do with them. Around me, I saw my friends and family buying from retail stores what I made for myself and was able to customize to my own person! So, I started a business. I sold my creations and made unique orders for my customers. From then on, my vision was to put custom, handmade creations into every person's home, because extraordinary people shouldn't settle for an ordinary world. There was only one problem: the pricing.

Crochet takes a long time to make and sometimes takes expensive materials as well, but charging hundreds of dollars for a handmade throw blanket or a shawl just doesn’t compare to cheap, factory-made products. I noticed that my pool of buyers was slim and if I wanted to give people the personal experience of a handmade world, I needed to change it up.

Ever since I started crocheting, I made up my own patterns. Very rarely did I pick up someone else’s. Part of that was because I loved the thrill of figuring it out on my own. The rewarding feeling after accurately recreating something from real life or a cartoon was a rush of dopamine. Even today as I’m writing this, that rush fuels me. And, being a problem solver, I knew I had to do something with all the patterns I’d written over the years.

Fast forward to today! The Yarn Frenzy Designs blog is centered around sharing my patterns with the maker community and giving people a life filled with handmade designs. I have free patterns on my blog and I plan to make printable versions for you to purchase as I grow.
