Technical Notes:
Crochet in continuous spiral rounds, unless specified otherwise. Use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to keep track of the last stitch in each round.
When filling with polyester stuffing, pull apart each large chunk into many smaller chunks. This ensures an even distribution of firmness within the amigurumi.
I am using ILoveThisYarn, but you can use any worsted, medium weight yarn.

Cut yarn long for sewing.
Assembly:
Attach the gills to the sides of the head, putting the longer gill at the bottom and shorter one at the top.
Sew the fin onto the tail. The fin will be a little too long for the tail, but that is on purpose. Sew the top part of the fin on the first decrease row of the tail and adjust the stitches to where you have three fin waves on each side of the tail. It should bunch up a bit for a wavy effect.
Sew the feet on the body. Sew the top feet closer to the neckline and the bottom two next to the tail.
Using a yarn needle, sew in two eyes using the black yarn as shown in the picture below.
Below the left eye, make three knots for the freckles.
Tuck in any ends by threading them through a yarn needle and pulling them inside the body.
